College Homecoming

The first week of April, Dave and I are going to Nebraska for my college homecoming. He has never seen where I went to school, and I haven't been back for 17 years! I was actually born in Lincoln, my dad was teaching at the college at the time. My parents both went there, as did my older brother. It was a lovely place to go to school. Really looking forward to going back!

I wasn't VERY overweight at the time, but I seem to remember a size 14 and not being able to fit into the clothes at the trendy stores where my friends shopped. I had my breast reduction over Christmas break my senior year in college, so that was an adjustment. One of the best things I ever did though. Doesn't look like I even HAVE boobs in these pics, but they're still there, I swear! I was so used to wearing big tops, I didn't know how to dress them.

These pics were taken graduation weekend. That red dress was LINEN and from Casual Corner, so it had to be a "regular" size. My arms were never my favorite feature, but I did it anyway. I was so thrilled to be able to wear something form fitted on the top, that I didn't care. It buttoned all the way up the back with fat covered buttons... very uncomfortable to sit in!
