I get asked all the time about how I lost my weight. It's not rocket science, there's no magic pill, and no, Jenny Craig is not the only way. The only way is to focus on what you're DOING. Pick a plan, any plan that makes sense to you, and follow it. Don't whine, don't waffle, don't dabble, and don't make excuses. Nothing works instantly. You have to COMMIT. It's all about the DOING and not at all about the feeling. Doesn't matter if you don't "feel" like it today... workout anyway! You'll FEEL so much better afterward... and if you don't who cares? you still DID something good for yourself.
Some of the best advice I got before I got married was from my father-in-law to be. He said, "always ACT loving, whether you FEEL like it or not at the time." Actions speak louder than words, and are remembered for much longer.
Carry that over into a philosophy on managing your weight... by eating the right foods (and you KNOW what they are) and moving your body, you WILL (eventually) see the results. Doesn't matter if you were super stressed and wanted to eat an entire huge bag of M&M's (and who hasn't!?). As long as you DON'T, the feelings will pass and the results will come. THEN you'll feel really proud of yourself, happy with the changes you're seeing, and you'll WANT to keep doing the right things. So many times we want to get the feelings first and THEN (maybe) we'll commit to the actions. Just try it the other way around sometime... it worked for me.

I have been on JC for 3 and 1/2 months and i was doing good, lost 15 lbs! I work out everyday. Was doing 1/2 hour of cardio and then other stuff like walking the dogs, cleaning, painting the house,etc. I uped my calories to 1500 and uped my exercise to 1hour of cardio. End result, I am GAINING! Help.
