The Point About the Shoes

I've received lots of feedback on the pictures of the shoes. Thanks to all who have been supportive! :)

I actually have a larger point to make by sharing this little aspect of my life....

Whatever your inner voice dreams of doing that is limited by your outer appearance, USE that to make you strong and work towards that goal. You CAN do most anything. Being able to overcome is such an amazing feeling. And it is SOOOO much better than trying to pacify yourself with food.

I'm not talking about perfection by anyone's definition. I'm talking about achievement. No one is perfect... certainly not me! But I can do things now that I couldn't do before and that is a major kick in the pants! That was how school was for me as well... I loved learning new things. After school, I lost that part of what contributed to my sense of self. I have to work harder to create challenges for myself so that I can struggle, develop, and achieve.

When I started Jazzercise, I had no balance, no rhythm, no stamina, no coordination, no strength. I developed each one of those things through hard work and repeated effort. Nothing good in life is easy. But now, each time I succeed, I remember the time when I couldn't do those things and I feel terrific!

Managing your weight is not so much about the food as it is about the attitude. Fall in love with your life and you won't want to do anything to jeopardize it.
