AOED and Jazzercise

Thought I should let everyone know that I have resigned as an AOED instructor. It was a great experience, but not something that I need to continue. I would have had to go to Philly again in January for more training (at my own expense), and I just don't have the time, money, or inclination to do that.

I have become a class manager at Jazzercise now that we opened our own center. (I feel like I own it as I've done so much work on it!) I'm great friends with the owner and the other instructors. We've added more classes, including a second morning class on Saturday and a morning class on Sunday. So, in addition to my regular workout schedule of Mon-Thu evenings and one class on Sat, I have added the second Sat class and Sun. And I still do the extra hour of strength training after class on Tue/Thu. That would be NINE hours a week of exercise... although I've given myself permission to skip a class or two each week.

I love everything about Jazzercise and I'm really enjoying being a class manager. Fun to get to greet everyone, make them feel welcome, and to sell to new students. It's definitely something I believe in and can easily promote. I feel valued and appreciated, so that makes it all the more worthwhile.

My next personal challenge (because there must always be one!) is to train to be a Jazzercise instructor. Not saying that I will actually become one, but that I will train to become one. Baby steps! It's hard work to be an instructor!! Lots of planning, the challenge of talking while working out, having to do high impact all the time, learning dozens and dozens of routines, putting sets together.... lots of work! Not sure if I have the time to put into it right now, but it will be fun to learn a few more things toward that end. My instructors are the best and are very encouraging. I'm going to get my mother involved with my rehearsals... that should be a hoot! She's such a sport!

HI Lester, this is Di. I have been too busy to be on the chat lately, but wanted you to know that I visited your blog. YOu continue to be an encouragement to me. So far I'v lost 16 pounds in 7 weeks. Slow, but steady.

I continue to be very motivated. I need to loose this unwanted person (134 lbs and counting) for my health. I have a lot of living to do and many responsibilities. I want to be here to continue on.

I enjoy following your story. If you are ever passing through MD, let me know, it would be great to meet and chat.

Please know I am praying for you.

Your JC Friend,

Diana
