Goal Again!

After spending several months hovering around the same weight, I have declared goal at 156. I don't think it's good for one's head to constantly have a goal that they aren't meeting. It's not that I couldn't, I just quit caring. Those two pounds weren't standing between me and anything! Maybe in another few months, I'll go back on JC with a vengence and take off another 10. I'm still plenty above what would be considered "thin", so I have some wiggle room. But, my size 8 jeans fit just fine! And, I'm even ok that sometimes my pants are size 10. I like the way I look, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way I feel.

More changes for me.... I was offered a promotion at work this week, which I have accepted. Very exciting for me, as it's reporting to a Director whom I admire VERY much, and working with all of the other Directors whom I also respect a great deal. I will be doing more analysis-type work for the company as a whole, working with numbers (LOTS of numbers!) in spotting trends, identifying weaknesses, etc. I have an MBA in Finance, so it's right up my alley. I've been doing database design for the past six years, and while it's been fun for me, I'm not a trained IT professional. This will be a HUGE challenge and I'm ready for it.

So, along with that, came my decision to postponed becoming a Jazzercise instructor. I don't want to screw up the job just because I spread myself too thin. I need to be able to give them 110%... they're certainly paying me enough to expect that! My Jazzercise mentors have been very understanding, and I'm focusing instead on being Class Manager Extrordinaire, which benefits them more anyway. And I still get to work out for free, so no complaints there!

Life is good, and blessings abound!

I wondered how you were doing! Haven't seen you in the JC chat room lately - in fact I haven't seen ANY of our regulars. I just had a nice weigh in too; dumped another 2 lbs after being no a plateau all thru March. Well CONGRATS! You worked HARD for it!
