I really wanted to retouch the pic of me in all black. The "muffin-top" over the jeans still annoys me. Hubby pointed out that it was only in certain postures, but I know it's still there. The reason I am posting it here, UN-retouched is that the part that I'm unhappy with is such a tiny, TINY part. Reminder to me to focus on the big picture!
I went to a new store called Dazzle with my Jazzercise instructor to find a cool belt. I've worn belts since before I reached my first goal, but have never had anything beyond basic black or brown. Well, this is certainly WAY beyond basic! Hubby LOVES belts and was particularly fond of this little number. Big hit with all of the girls too. It's a little akward for sitting and then standing, let alone bending over! More of a pretty standing-up belt. Works for parties though!
This was for my Jazzercise instructor's 40th birthday celebration. Everyone there was either an instructor or class manager... maybe 15-20 of us. We had the "VIP Room" at a swanky jazz club in downtown Scottsdale complete with our own private bartender. I had looked at the menu on-line before I went and had decided on the swordfish and NO ALCOHOL! The swordfish was outstanding! Covered with sundried tomatoes and a little pesto on top of "fingerlings" (tiny potatoes) with a balsamic glaze. VERY yummy! And a big on the gourmet side, so portion of fish was maybe 6 oz and the potatoes were hardly 1/4 cup! Also had a cupcake... it was a birthday, afterall. The swordfish was the most popular dish. I think over half the party ordered it!
The "no alcohol" was partly because I didn't want to feel crappy today, and partly because I didn't want to spend the money. Drinks were $10-$14!! Birthday girl had at least three. We split her check between at least 10 people and we all put in $7. My total bill was $20 and that included a nice tip!
I'm off to work out this morning. The scale was nice to me... 156.0! Hoping to maintain that this week. Hubby wants to go out today to celebrate my birthday (actually on Tuesday), but maybe just brunch. He also wants me to bake cookies for the theater kids, so we'll see how strong I can be (we usually do ok when we're baking together).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOU~!!
WOOHOO - LOOKIN GOOD~!
Lesterlou, I came over here to view your pics because they are so inspirational. I wanted to comment on the muffin top--I was reading somewhere that if you are in your healthy weight range that there really is no such thing as a muffin top, the cut of the jeans just doesn't fit you properly no matter how much you like them. I guess you gauge it by whether or not you have muffin top in all pants you wear or just certain jeans? If I can find a link to it, I will send it to you. Sigh, I have muffin top no matter what I wear, but not for long!
