Weekend at the Cabin

What a fantastic weekend getaway! I left my computer at home, turned off the cell phone, and did blessed nothing for two whole nights! We drove two hours up to the Mogollon Rim (northern Arizona) to a lovely rented "cabin". The only thing cabin-like about it was that it was made of logs. Otherwise, it was a fully-appointed two story house. We cooked all of our meals in the cabin, grilling out both nights. We don't have a grill at home, so that was a treat.

My favorite part was listening to the trees. The sound of the wind through the pine needles is especially soothing to me. It was just what I needed to hit the reset button on my soul.

AWESOME! We did the same thing last spring at Petit jean MOuntain STate Park in Arkansas.
